I must have listened to this album everyday for like 3 years when it came out. Still love it. Strangely, I never really got into their other stuff.

once you get past the fact that literally every ounce of their sound is pure noise, you start to notice the cute little melodies and structures they're playing. It seems to take awhile to unlock this.

it's not exactly from Epitaph, it's from ANTI-, which kind of 'belongs' to Epitaph, but isn't the same thing

I'm not at all into the kind of music Epitaph Records puts out, but I have to say I really like this album. The cover art of Plague Soundscapes caught my eye when thumbing through records one day. I asked my girlfriend is she knew what it was. She said they were screamy and didn't know much else. After reading the back cover track titles printed in large pixelated blocky text my curiosity was teased and I had to buy it. I liked it on the first play through. The cool clear vinyl record and great label design makes it fun to own. I mostly save the next play for the right mood, but I'm glad to have it. It also sounds great played on the wrong speed (I prefer faster) on a turn-table. Good textured analog synth, dark and thick.

This record is insane. They totally redefined my idea of music, and I thank them for that ;)
