Biography
Washington state based musician and lyricist Joseph Snodgrass has a rich history in music of all genres before launching his summer music project in 02009 entitled The Lights Galaxia. His sound dabbles in minimal and abstract ambient soundscapes, while it also is rich in electronic ambient music and is occasionally shaded with electric guitar. Daniel Davis (musician Carl Sagan's Ghost) contributed guitars to the EP version of the track "Tokyo Metro". One of the main ideals behind the music is keeping the “big here and the long now” in mind. That is, the overall feel of the catalog should represent a “trans-ambience” of sorts. The aether existing in time.
The Lights Galaxia released their first EP entitled “Global” in mid October of 02009 and a follow up EP is planned for Spring 02010. Snodgrass' lyric credits include the song Treasure by Amethystium (“Isabliss”). Of Daniel Davis' music projects, he is most widely known as "Carl Sagan's Ghost", a popular minimalist ambient project. Both artists are members of MAAP (Multiple Artist Ambient Project). Their record label is Luxus-Arctica records International, which he has other music projects planned for. The Lights Galaxia works out of studio Cassiopeia.
