The signature piece of the Left Banke, written by Michael Brown and sung by Steve Martin Caro. The "Renée" mentioned in the song's real name is Renée Fladen-Kamm.
It is a great tune with beautiful harmonies and carefully orchestrated music by studio musicians. As none of the band members themselves could play the violin, viola, oboe or harpsichord, they soon fell into inharmonious squabbles about who deserved credit for what. They were a short-lived group.
