This album could've been easily the group's best if Michael had been properly committed to it. As it is, it's merely *one* of their best, duking it out with Destiny and Triumph. The other brothers do a great job of compensating for the (relative) lack of Mike.

This album really forced the brothers to pick up some of the slack in Michael's absence. The result, if you ask me, is pretty good. Especially on songs like "Wait" and "Body". The only problem is that they all sound just enough like Michael to remind you that...they're not Michael. LOL!

This album's nowhere near as terrible as it's been made out to be! It's got a less polished, more unfinished quality about it in some ways, but that's no bad thing. I listen to it all of the time.

Released at THE HEIGHT of Jackson's popularity, having just come off of "Thriller" LP. Michael did not turn in support of "Thriller", so he was pressured into taking his brothers out on the road with him.....that necessitated recording a new LP. Michael appears promemantly on only 2 tracks "State of Shock" and "Be Not Always" but does make minor vocal contributions to most of the tracks. I remember seeing those "teeny-bopper" magazines with covers that said "Victory - GREATER than Thriller!!!! See story inside" LOL! The resulting tour was a disaster and Michael vowed to never again tour with his brothers. The singles "State Of Shock" and "Torture" did respectably well on the charts, with the Mick Jagger duet "State of Shock" going to #2 on the Bilboard charts. Michael did not appear in the video for "Torture", which featured stop motion animation zombies and skeletons, albeit one of them wearing a single sequined glove! a good LP to trip doen memory lane with. Cheers!
