“Mayday“ is The Go! Team's lead single from their fourth studio album, Semicircle, and brings back their classic ruckus sound with morse code beats and infectious rallying calls by the Detroit Youth Choir. It's reminiscent of their 2004 debut hit "Huddle Formation" and shows the band circling back to their roots. Despite their growth and experimentation over the years, there's still joy and excitement in hearing the Go! Team's energy and creativity.
The song was also featured in the videogame Sackboy's Big Adventure, the second appearance by the group in a LittleBigPlanet game.
