So much more could been done with this melodically... and I don't care how many guffaws this comment attracts.

literally one of the most sugary melody driven albums ever made, what are you talking about :(

took forever to click with me. Now it's one of my favorite albums ever, and I've grown to love this band a lot more now!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=widmy3lqT_w And to any fans that haven't seen this (remarkable!) documentary about the making of the album that Pitchfork put together a little while ago, cheers!

It took me a while to appreciate it. too many strings, too mellow. now I love it. "I stood up and I said Yeah!"

I wasn't really digging this the first time I sat down to listen to it, but after giving it another listen to it's an album I can really appreciate. The really mellow vibe is what sets it up for me. Definitely one of TFL's best albums, but I still think YBTPR and Embroynic are better in my opinion.

well their albums are being mastered at progressively higher and higher volumes, starting with this one. It sucks but I've kind of just learned to accept it cause all albums are done like that now. All that aside, this is a really good album but kind of disappointing coming after Zaireeka and Clouds Taste Metallic!

"Wish these guys would release an album with a decent mastering job. I've had to quit buying their stiuff as, it all sounds like shit. Sorry, Lips." lol what a fucking nut.

so many songs on here that i really like... and then the other half of the album completely falls flat for me. it's a shame, but they can't all be Race for the Prize/The Spark That Bled/Suddenly Everything Has Changed.

The facts that there's remixes thrown into the main album and that they removed one song from each version both *really* bug me. It reeks of commercialism from WB's part.
