Biography
The history of Chamberlain starts as the other bands as well: singer, guitarist and songwriter Bjorn Otterbeck had long-ambitious plans for a band project. Together with Olaf Giese he gave an advertisement in the city of Kiel on magazines: „singer and bassist looking for reinforcement for Guitarpop. Sönke Lundt drummer, long time in search of a suitable tape, read the ad and immediately picked up the phone. On the same evening we met, played before the demos and talked about musical preferences and objectives. Quick crystallized the common enthusiasm for Guitarpop out - a direction for the keel had been atypical.
The cutflowers č.p. The foundation for the Chamberlain (then still without a name) had been laid. What was missing now was a good guitarist. After several attempts, finally opted for Jonas Nicolaisen, which in December 1996 cutflowers ep, a CD with four songs, was born.
Previously, the four broke the rehearsal problem by providing a small rented office container, near the airfield.
In fact, during the recordings revealed that the musical performances by guitarist and the rest of the band on a permanent basis would be too different. The joint agreement is separated in February 1997. In August, found himself with Simon Pogge finally a new guitarist. In the same month was also the move into the new, much larger rehearsal instead.

Bassist Olaf Giese retired in the spring of 1999 at his own request because his job on a permanent him too little time for the Chamberlain would.
In September 1999, Chamberlain was in Jochen Frehse the right man on the bass, the band’s music has been able to give a new impetus.
Another change took place in the summer of 2000: Guitarist Simon wanted to own solo projects. In its place came into force in April 2001 James Wysocki.
