Many rock historians trace the emergence of the psychedelic rock era to the release of this song in March1966🎵

One of the all-time best rock songs of all-time. A great melding of free jazz and rock. McGuinn has said that John Coltrane was a big influence on this song. I wish the Byrds did more songs in a jazz vein, but it's hard to complain with their discography. "I See You" is another song in this vein that I absolutely adore. The Byrds were such an important band in the 60's, they were at the forefront of so many genres.

The song is fantastic -- one of the all time great Rock songs -- but what really takes it to the next level is McGuinn's fucked-up, fractured solo. which is as much Free Jazz as it is Rock & Roll.

I hadn't realized that there was a promo video for this song and it's pretty out there for 1966. Nicely done.

Remember the glasses they used to wear......my brother used to have them back in the 60's, small thin glasses.

Anyone heard Chris Hillman & Herb Pederson's version of this song on their album Live At Edwards Barn? Fantastic.

The live version (which takes up one side) of the double album Untitled is really mind blowing

Wow, epic! This version is way longer than 03:33 min, but i don't care. It could go on for an hour an I would not get tired of listening. Great!
