It's interesting that both songs that are sung by Soom T on the album were both previously recorded by her already. What is Life? was originally recorded with her and King Creosote on a 7" single, the two versions are very similar but the original was accordion-driven with more prominent backing vocals by Creosote (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgkqPveLDbY). Send Them Kids to War was originally released as 'Send Dem Kids to War' by Tolcha Vs. Soom T and was an electro-rap-dub track and only shares the same lyrics, musically the two are completely different (one of its remixes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZ5OD3TOMQc).

They're awesome, but such a small amount of scrobbles can be understood: it's difficult to download their album in good quality for free, while many people won't buy unknown music. I bought it on itunes and it's worth so much more than it costs, bit again, a lot of people prefer free downloads, and that can be understood.

I'm a bit late to the party with The Burns Unit (Scottish versh) but, thanks to their session on Marc Riley on 19 Jan 2011, it's a case of better late than never. What a wonderful band. 'Side Show' is well worth purchasing. I tracked down some of their sessions here: http://peenko.blogspot.com/search/label/the%20Burns%20Unit. Heartily recommended.
