Biography
Kingston upon Hull, UK (2008-Present)
The Bron-Yr-Aurs are a British rock band from Kingston upon Hull, UK. The band draws from influences such as AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, The White Stripes, Blur and early Manic Street Preachers; distilling the sounds into their own modern take on good-time, anthemic rock 'n' roll.
The band was formed in the summer of 2008 by singer Alex Hood and guitarist Rob Jackson, adding second guitarist Jordan Hodson soon after. After a couple of minor changes, bassist Big Al and drummer Eddy Phillipson rounded out the current lineup.
Since then they have built a strong reputation based on a series of electrifying and energetic live performances, mainly in and around the north of England, but also with regular shows in London. To date they have supported the like of Team Waterpolo and The Datsuns, as well as making several appearances on local radio.
The Bron-Yr-Aurs have thus far recorded two demos, both of which are available to download from their official website. They plan to return to the studio later in the year to record more new material.
