During the Get Back sessions in January 1969, the Beatles were apparently in need of more material with a self-imposed deadline to perform a new batch of songs by the end of the month. This lead to them revisiting old compositions that went unrecorded, including "One After 909." It was a song that John and Paul had written as teenagers back in Liverpool, before the band got big.
