We learned how to play this in our high school orchestra. Our teacher was a drunk and an asshole who hated me, but I will give him this one thing.

All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong?

Am I the only one who thinks this song is hilarious? (In a black humor kind of way. I love it, but I think it's hysterical how pathetic the two main characters are 🤣.)

And the little detail that Fr. McKenzie didn't even have an undertaker 🤣🤣🤣. He had to do it all himself.

If you replaced the word "lonely" with "ugly" or "homely," it would be even funnier imho.

ok, edgy boi, shut up already, your "ironic" sense of humour is not funny or original at all, I've already seen such edgyists everywhere else

It's impossible to describe how this song makes me feel, all I can say is that it's fantastic.

I found two versions. Twelfth Night (from Fact and Fiction - remastered 2002) and Kansas (from Always Never the Same - 1988). The first one it's a kind Pop/New Wave from a neo progressive band ^^ and the second one it's pure geniality, some fantastic new clothes for an old brilliant classic! Cheers o/

For being the "happy pop guy," Paul sure did tap into some darkness on Revolver. "Eleanor Rigby" and "For No One" are both depressing as hell (and wonderful).
