A jangly pop tune about going to Liverpool "to do nothing, all the days of my life" and unemployment (hence the mention of the UB40, the document filled out to claim unemployment benefits).
The song is a cover originally written by Kimberley Rew of The Waves. The Bangles' version featured on their album All Over The Place and was released as a single in 1984.
Rew's version was eventually released by his band - eventually renamed Katrina and The Waves - in 1985.
