This is from the first Alan Parsons Project Tales of Mystery and Imagination, a concept album based on the Tales of Edgar Alan Poe, a collaboration between Eric Wolfson and Alan Parsons. The Raven was a ground breaker in it's day being one of the first rock songs to feature the newly developed (by EMI) vocoder, a voice changer used to distort the vocals to great effect in this track.

The Alan Parsons Project was a British rock group active from 1975 until 1990, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson both from London, England. The group is based on a number of regular group members such as Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson, complemented with varying lead vocals such as Colin Blunstone (the Zombies), Chris Rainbow and Gary Brooker (Procol Harum).
