The remastered 1987 CD release of this album differs from the original 1976 LP release. Among other differences the CD release contains a spoken word portion by Orson Welles. In 1994 the Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab released a CD edition of the original 1976 LP recording (UDCD-606). In 2007, a Deluxe Edition released by Universal Music included both the 1976 and the 1987 versions remastered by Alan Parsons during 2006 with eight additional bonus tracks. Band founder Alan Parsons is a well respected studio engineer. He is known to have worked on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon".

The Alan Parsons Project was a British rock group active from 1975 until 1990, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson both from London, England. The group is based on a number of regular group members such as Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson, complemented with varying lead vocals such as Colin Blunstone (the Zombies), Chris Rainbow and Gary Brooker (Procol Harum).
