“Somebody Else” revolves around feeling affected by knowing that a past lover has allowed another person to come into their life in an intimate way.
The song was first performed at a live show in Liverpool, and officially premiered as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Beats Radio 1 on February 15th, 2016. It was released as the fourth single from The 1975’s sophomore album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it.
