"closure" is the fourteenth track from Taylor Swift's ninth studio album, evermore. It was released on December 11, 2020, through Republic Records.
Taylor revealed in the Apple Music Awards 2020 that closure combines different themes that the entirety of evermore was about saying: “Evermore deals a lot in endings of all sorts, shapes, and sizes, all the kinds of ways we can end a relationship, a friendship, something toxic, and the pain that goes along with that.”
The song is speculated to be about her former friend, Karlie Kloss who was married to Joshua Kushner therefore spending more time with his family which includes Scooter Braun, her former label's CEO who owned and sold off her masters which kickstarted the "Taylor's Version" era. It is speculated that Taylor and Karlie are no longer friends as they both were no longer seen together in public and the aforementioned involvement with Scooter.
