THE ORAL CIGARETTES is a Japanese rock band from Nara Prefecture, formed in 2010. The band consist of vocalist and guitarist Takuya Yamanaka, guitarist Shigenobu Suzuki, bassist and backing vocalist Akirakani Akira and drummer Masaya Nakanishi.

The band was formed by vocalist Takuya and bassist Akira. Takuya used to work at a bank but he didn’t like working under someone else so he decided to make music instead. They were joined by guitarist Shigenobu, who went to the same kindergarten as Takuya. Finally, drummer Take joined, but left in 2012. Masaya Nakanishi joined as their new drummer in early 2013.

Since its formation, the band has been aggressive in local live performances spread throughout the Kansai region. In 2012, they signed to A-Sketch and won the Grand Prix at the MASH A&R audition of music. After the release of an indie demo, an indie single, and two indie albums, THE ORAL CIGARETTES made their major debut with the single "Kishikaisei STORY" in 2014. Their third single, "Kyōran Hey Kids!!", which was used as the opening theme of Noragami Aragoto, was released in November 2015. They released their sixth single, "Tonariau / One's Again", in June 2017. Tonariau was used as the ending theme of Sagrada Reset. Their eighth single, "Wagamama de Gomakasanaide", was released in March 2019, and was used as the opening theme of Revisions. In 2021, they won "Best Conceptual Live" at the Space Shower Music Awards.
