I always found this one to be highly underrated, not really any worse than their other albums for me. I'd dare to say if a perfect discog exists, it'd be theirs, nothing even relatively weak in their catalogue, but that's just my opinion : )

Honestly I think it's on par with Hypnotize, there are some tracks that feel more "undercooked" but it's overall a good listen

To me personally this and Toxicity are like a double-album. They sound very similar, also both already came out when I first started listening to SOAD in 2003. Maybe this one lacks some famous singles like Toxicity and Chop Suey but I'm surprised this one is their least popular album, wow

había olvidado lo bello de escuchar esta banda, meta cantar, gratos recuerdos de mi adolescencia y de cuando los escuche el 2015 en stgo.

Honestly, I prefer this album over the "Toxicity", however the previous one was also good, but in a bit different sense.

This album is incredibly underappreciated. Rarely anyone I ever knew who had listened to SOAD had ever listened to this album and it took me far too long to actually give this a concentrated listen. There's a level of sonic diversity and atmosphere about this album that I don't think they ever reached with anything else in their discography, it's just a ridiculously solid run from start to finish. Hardly any throwaways in a 16 track stretch. For a collection that's primarily made up of Toxicity songs that didn't make the cut and early material, this album is incredibly cohesive and unique in its own way. I wouldn't even hesitate to call this my favorite from them. Such an overlooked classic.

Hadn't really listened to this one much since basically the time it was released and I had always gotten the impression that this was sort of made up of the leftovers from the Toxicity sessions and was therefore nowhere near as good as that album. Welp, I was wrong. In fact I might even agree that this is better than Toxicity. Whereas that one had a few tracks that were basically nothing songs and one or two I thought were pretty trash, this one is pretty much uniformly strong from start to finish, with only one or two tracks I could really do without. This band has been much more consistently excellent on record than I previously gave them credit for.

Best album? No. Just good album with couple good songs? That's more like the truth.

Fuck the System may be the worst song SOAD has ever done, but it's the only bad song in here. Best album after s/t, it's a little better than Mesmerize.
