one of the little details about this song that i adore is the way jeremy's voice gives out during the last "youll taste it" of the first chorus (2:42), maybe i am reading too deep but it adds so much more emotional depth and intensity to jeremy's already emotionally intense wails

Out-of-this-worldy good. Makes me regret all the years I 've spent without listening to this...

When I was 15 and first listened to this song, the "you'll taste it in time" line nearly made me bawl. That part is so powerful and beautiful. I absolutely love this song, and always will.

This track is insanely beautiful. Such a great start to one of the best records of the 90's.

lol, emo didn't even exist in '94... anyway, i remember playing this for a former b/f when we were getting to know each other & turn each other onto new music that we could listen to together. I played this song & he made a face... he thought it was bad & i asked why & he said because the drumming too loud & sloppy, i think. He is an actual musician (good guitarist), so he did have his own valid opinions... but, i just disagreed with him. It seems like people like this song esp. BECAUSE of the drumming. Listening to this song still always makes me think of that conversation we had 10 years ago.
