“Super Bowl” is the fourth track of Stray Kids’s third full-length studio album ★★★★★(5-STAR).
The title is a play-on-words. The Super Bowl is the annual league championship game of the NFL, but in this song, it’s used to describe a high-class meal. Both references both a testament to Stray Kids’ top-level artistry in their own music and in the music industry.
This song started production in 2019-2020, before “God’s Menu” came into works, in which “God’s Menu” was picked as a release over “Super Bowl”, hence the two songs sharing the exact same concept.
The track appears to be about their success in the music industry, using the idea of cooking up a popular dish that everyone craves as a metaphor for their music production. The reference to Hell's Kitchen and Michelin suggests that their music is not just popular, but also of high quality and possibly even award-winning.
“It's a song that feels grand like the 'Super Bowl', as the word says, with confidence on a large scale like the 'Super Bowl', the American football championship. The colorful expressions that are like seasoning in the spicy and hot lyrics, and the whispering voice as if listening to an ASMR mukbang will satisfy your ears and taste buds. It's a 'delicious' song with powerful instruments that deliver a refreshing feeling of pleasure.” — Stray Kids
