"God's Menu" was the song that was supposed to turn me (the casual listener) into a Stay and, though that may not have been fair to put that much pressure on this song, after giving it multiple listens, I was left underwhelmed. This is not to say that the song was bad by any means. On the contrary, I think there's a lot to like about the song. It delivers on that high energy I have come to expect from a Stray Kids song. Its bombastic lyrics pair nicely with its hard-hitting rap verses and onomatopoeic hook. The standout vocals from Seungmin and Felix's deep baritone verse left my jaw on the floor. Thus, despite the rather generic instrumental and production choices, I can't say that this song is ever boring by any means. BUT the centerpiece of this song - its chorus - is just not pleasing to listen to but that's my personal taste. It just wasn't for me. There is potential here though, so maybe next time, Stray Kids.
