"30/30-150" was the first single from Stone Sour's second album from 2006 Come What(ever) May. The song received a nomination for Best Metal Performance at the 49th annual Grammy Awards, but lost to Eyes of the Insane, by Slayer
The title may possibly refer to a type of rifle cartridge (.30-30, with a 150-grain (9.7 g) bullet), though this is uncertain. According to Taylor, a possible interpretation of the song is about "always remembering who you are, where you came from and to never give into pressures."
Another interpretation of the song is based on the theory of the code 30/30-150. It means 'total nuclear annihilation.'
Another possibility is that on a protractor the 30 degree angle is the same as 150 degrees. Corey has stated in an issue of Hit Parader that 30/30-150 is about the generation in which he grew up. He stated that people always said his generation would never amount to anything, perhaps explaining the lyrics "they called us a dead generation" in the song.
