My feelings wants to agree but my intellect doesn't. He seems to be hitting a very fruitful creative vein here, churning out great song after great song in quite different styles. So many of my favorite SW songs are from this record. But it just doesn't have that seamless flow that most of his records do.

The vinyl version has Raider II as the opening track of the 2nd disc. That flows a little better to me, much like the double vinyl version of the Blank Planet record with the Nil Recurring tracks embedded within the track listing.

This album is soft. I love this album, its a milestone by Steven Wilsons work. What an masterpiece. Every single song is excellent here. Raider II is the best song on this album.

If you think this album is boring, you really need to open your eyes for some musical aspects. The most interesting musically work he has ever done in his career.

Many of his fans claim to be prog fans, but only really like the 4 minute tracks from PT and SW

Oh come on. It's MUCH better and mature than anything PT ever recorded. One of my favourite albums ever.

I really like Steven's work with Porcupine Tree, but this album sounds boring to me.

Does anyone feel that the idea for the album and its concept was modeled after this masterpiece, especially judging from SW's love for drone/ambient? http://www.last.fm/music/Robert%2BRich%2B%2526%2BB.%2BLustmord/Stalker

I had a comagasm, my heart raced to near-fatal speeds, then I woke up thinking I had dreamed it all. But I had nay. All other musicians should just give up now.

Grace For Drowning = best album(s) I've heard in 5 years, bar none; and the best-produced album I've ever laid ears on (if that's a valid expression). Despite its progressive roots, occasional (even frequent) snarls and bleak lyrical content, its true nature is really a thing of delicate beauty. It's not music of broad strokes, loud riffs and catchy tunes by any measure - but a lacework of distilled melancholy and love for sounds big and small (but especially small). I don't think I could be any more impressed with it! If fragile, sad, challenging modern music appeals to you in any way, go grab it on Blu-ray. First music album ever to be released in that format, and it's pretty clear why - the production here deserves that.
