There are several artists with this name: one from the USA, another two from the UK and one from New Zealand.

1. Stephen Valentine Patrick William "Steve" Allen (26 December 1921 – 30 October 2000) was an American television personality, musician, actor, comedian, and writer.

Though he got his start in radio, Allen is best-known for his television career. He first gained national attention as a guest host on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts. He graduated to become the first host of The Tonight Show, where he was instrumental in innovating the concept of the television talk show. Thereafter, he hosted numerous game and variety shows, including The Steve Allen Show, I've Got a Secret, The New Steve Allen Show, and was a regular panel member on CBS' What's My Line?

Allen was a "creditable" pianist, and a prolific composer, having penned over 14,000 songs, one of which was recorded by Perry Como and Margaret Whiting, others by Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Les Brown, and Gloria Lynne. Allen won a award in 1963 for best Jazz composition, with a song co-written by Ray Brown: The Gravy Waltz. Allen wrote more than 50 books and has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

3.Born: December 1, 1982… British vocalist Steve Allen is mostly associated with two different bands, Deaf School (late 1970s) and Original Mirrors (1980-1981). He also performed on recordings with Clive Langer & The Boxes. For a few years, Allen continued as a solo, backed by The Boxes. Allen sang in a short lived group called Samurai that included Pete Farndon and Topper Headon.
During 1984-1989 he released a number of singles, often recorded in collaboration with Italian producers.
He then turned to management with Espiritu which was signed to Heavenly in the UK before taking up an A&R post at Warner UK (WEA at the time) in the mid 90's running the very successful Eternal label.

4. Steve Allen a New Zealand pop vocalist. Most active during the 1970's. Steve released "The Kids Collection Volume 1" on Ode Records in 1982.
