Picture this. Your favorite TV Land wife jumps out of the screen and adopts a post-21st century sense of empowerment equally liberated, lusty, and leveled up. She grabs a microphone and serves up a one-two punch of pop dripping with doo-wop harmonies and hip-hop attitude. Enter Stela Cole. The Atlanta-born and Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter sharpens a slick signature style on her 2020 EP, Woman of the Hour . A wild eighteen-month ride cemented her as Woman of the Hour. The songstress formally introduced herself on the Throwing Up Butterflies EP in 2018. Refinery29 praised her as “addictive,” while Pop Dust promised, “Stela Cole will absolutely blow your mind.” She quietly amassed over 2 million cumulative streams on the project as her collaboration with KREAM, “Edit You,” clocked million-plus Spotify streams. As her profile expanded, life threw a series of curveballs at the artist. She parted ways with her previous major label, endured a brutal breakup, and picked up from Nashville and moved to Los Angeles. In the end, Stela Cole has officially arrived. So, raise a glass to the Woman of the Hour.
