the title of the track truly leaves you wondering, as a loner I do agree with it. loneliness is not a state where you are merely isolated like a prisoner. it is a void in your guts that swallow everything around you and leave you feeling nostalgic, sad and alone. and if you do not tend to that void,if you do not spend time with it and reason with it, it will suck the light out of your life. it will make you the lonely, lonelier. this is how I relate to this song, I believe not everyone enjoys ambient/drone music because of how alienated they are by being isolated in a soundscape. Skeletonghost has framed a beautiful memory with a beautiful track, I just hope he can deal with the nostalgia.

I appreciate it when people like skeletonghost write about their experiences. It doesn't cheapen it at all and there are many ways to appreciate and communicate an experience with any form of art. While I understand what Dedran is getting at, it doesn't make skeletonghost's experience and relation of it anymore inferior. In fact, I found it quite touching and could relate to it well, even though it was also extremely personal for him. Anyway, this song is exquisite. Wonderful stuff.

wow, that post from Dedran is one of the most insufferably pompous things i've seen in a good long while.

While I admittedly shared a deeply personal experience with "teh WHOLE world" on this here shoutbox, I must certainly did not mean to "cheapen" anyone else's experience with this song or ambient music in general. Sometimes people go through moving experiences and a smell, sight, or sound happens to correlate with it. I just thought it was interesting that this specific song was playing while a moving experience happened to me, as I had always listened to it thinking about personal moving experiences. Sorry this ruined your idea of an abstract "emotional concept", but hopefully this opened up others ideas of how enveloping and moving an "emotional concept" can be to different people.

''This song was playing as a traveling woman and I said our final goodbyes to one another after having spent a week of intimacy with each other. The 5 minute recurring alarm I used to wake us up in the morning went off one final time as we waved goodbye to one another; the swelling of this song filled the space after our last laugh was shared and we exited each others lives. Somehow I felt it was completely appropriate that this was the song that played during our last moment together, and for some reason I feel like everyone here would agree.'' sounds nice
