it will grow on me someday, but that's one great album from a fantastic woman.

This is slowly becoming one of my favourite St. Vincent albums; there are a few moments on here that remind me of material prior to her self-titled. :)

Still don't understand why people think this sounds the exact same as the other Jack Antonoff projects. Clearly they haven't heard Annie's early stuff.

I like Jack, he's a genius, but he literally used the same exact sound for all the projects he was producing last year, let's be real.

Esse disco tá bom demais! que vibe incrível, o flerte com Bowie é simplesmente uma delícia.

peyton thomas is one of their better reviewers on a normal day but idk what happened to this review, all over the place and flat out bad. the consequenceofsound review was the best one i came across.

how does a review from a media outlet matter when it comes to what you feel about the music?

it doesn't lol i don't reviews to validate my taste, i read them to learn more about the piece i might not have learned on my own, like references i might have missed. a good review will connect these dots, while bad ones will say bullshit like "lol if she criticizes prisons why mention cops" like the p4k one. i think that's worth judging.

It took a few listens but I absolutely love it now. First half is great, but the second half of the album is pure gold.

On a first listen, though they're not that bad, I don't care much for the singles, Down and Out, S/T track (those Steely Dan vibes!!!), The Laughing Man, Somebody Like Me, My Baby Wants A Baby and ... At the Holiday Party are where it's at.
