Biography
There are at least three bands called Springtime.
1. The by far most popular at this point is Springtime, an Australian indie rock supergroup of sorts, featuring Gareth Liddiard (The Drones, Tropical Fuck Storm), Jim White (Dirty Three, Xylouris White) and Chris Abrahams (The Necks). Their first single, 'Penumbra', was released on Tropical Fuck Storm Records on 25th March 2021. Followed by self-tiled debut album released 5th November 2021 on Joyful Noise Recordings label. 2. Springtime was an Austrian band of the 1970s. The band consisted of Norbert Niedermayer, Walter Markel, Gerhard Markel and Erwin Broswimmer. The group represented Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 1978, in Paris, performing the entry Mrs. Caroline Robinson. The Austrian entry finished in 15th place with 14 points. Niedermayer had already represented his country in 1972, as part of the band Milestones.
3. Springtime is a melodic punk/post hardcore/emo influenced rock group from Richmond, VA, United States, featuring members of Cheyenne, Family Cat and Tiger Tail. They released their first demo in March 2012, it is available at http://springtime.bandcamp.com/
