Biography
Spitteri were a Venezualan progressive and psychedelic band of the early '70s. Led by brothers Charles and Jorge Spiteri, they migrated to London and released an album of highly eclectic songs that drew on such elements as Brazilian rhythms, Venezuelan folk, Cuban guajira (peasant) music, and the hard driving prog and psychedelia of the times. Due to problems with immigration in the UK, Spitteri disbanded within a year of their arrival in London.
