As someone who's had a family member gone to rehab, this album hurts to sit through at times. Yet hoo-wee, this is such a technical masterpiece.

As much as I like the band’s album Ladies & Gentlemen, this one is underrated af

the lyrics do wallow much further into self loathing on this one. Ladies & Gentlemen is about missing someone, while this is about realizing how broken/awful you are

Everyone always talks about Ladies and Gentlemen being depressing but this one's 10x worse. When I'm bummed and I listen to Ladies and Gentlemen it usually helps quite a bit; this one just makes me feel way more miserable. Either way it's fucking good.

best spiritualized album, before the next shit one, and before the previously amazing one. but i feel this one gets an unfair rep. its fucking awesome. i don't care what anyone says. anyone who doesn't like this can go get hit by a bus as far as i'm concerned.

Wow, I'm not very observant. For almost 2 years until now, I thought those pigtails on that mannequin head were hands.

It's too bad this was mastered so loudly, because you can tell, beneath the compression, that it wants to sound really lush. Otherwise a pretty good album, though some songs are too repetitive.

I *like* the album, but this is where I get off the bus. What I love about Spiritualized is their massive, reverb-heavy spacey sound. This is the album where Jason threw out the space rock in favour of orchestras and all that, and as okay as they've been since, they ain't spacey no more...

I'm more than spiritualized. I'm converted after listening to this album. Very very soulful.
