Yes, a really great score for a very fun movie. His "soundtrack" for G-Man (a concert recorded to serve as the soundtrack for a Rollins documentary of the same name) is another very special recording you may want to check out if you're not familiar with it. It's from the 80s, an underappreciated time for Rollins, but his playing throughout is just staggering and some of his best.

Newk is, IMO, the best saxophone player who has ever lived. There are just no words to accurately convey the level of skill he brings to his playing, how rich his phrasings are, the craftsmanship and quality of is improvisations... he is just a cut above everyone else.

well there's this guy called John Coltrane and another one Charlie Parker... but I see what you mean... these three would be my top 3 saxophonists

Both great, and of course Rahsaan Kirk, Sidney Bechet, Coleman Hawkins, Hank Mobley, Art Pepper, Dexter Gordon, Cannonball Adderley, Stan Getz, Eric Dolphy... there have been many, many amazing players, but I feel Rollins is the most complete as a saxophonist. The quality of his playing, particularly in the 50s and 60s, is just stunning, and it especially shines in his solos and improvisations. Listen to something like "I Know That You Know," "Airegin" or "Without a Song"-- these are the kind of solos that other saxophone players transcribe and study and aspire to be able to play, let alone to come up with something so brilliant.

I've used the comparison before with a guitarist friend that Coltrane is like Hendrix while Rollins is like Clapton. That was a comparison he liked, because he views Clapton as the technically superior player, while Hendrix has the showmanship. I think it's a pretty apt comparison.
