Musically it’s well ahead of its time. Sounds like a 90’s release, buts it’s from 1981!

Dark and gloomy. Some say this is one of their best albums. I disagree, in my opinion Tinderbox takes this title, but anyway, Juju has its great importance in the band's discography. Containing the band's shortest tracklist with just nine songs, The Banshees delivered a very consistent job, addressing very problematic themes for the time it was released, such as prostitution in Night Shift. It's an album that carries a lot of truth, because every song on this album, Siouxsie sang with a lot of strength and determination. And again, it turned out to be a totally different work from the previous one, Kaleidoscope, getting closer to what was The Scream.

If you heard the praise for this album, listened to it, and DIDN'T like it, don't give up on the band. You might still like some of their later albums more.
