Hyæna is the sixth studio album by Siouxsie & the Banshees, released in 1984. It is the only record guitarist Robert Smith of The Cure composed and recorded with the Banshees. Released by Polydor Records in the UK in 1984, this was the first Banshees album to receive a proper release in the United States, by Geffen Records. "Dear Prudence", became the band's biggest hit in the UK, reaching number 3. The song was intended to be a stand-alone single in the UK and, consequently, appears only on the American version of Hyæna.
