i might be naive, but…is there another song that could fairly be said to be exactly like this one? as a genre or whatever? smashing pumpkins and muse have come close and earlier, (and i’ll admit i still don’t know those bands well enough yet,) but i’m not aware of anything quite like it…baroque grunge

oh there’s definitely some failure in the final movement, too…but just momentarily, and they never did anything nearly as symphonic besides

Has Muse covered this song? It gives a Muse vibe so much, it'd be awesome. Also, this song reminded me a lot of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness album.

Actually this song and AFTY2K are arguably the best songs on this album! The ending really gets me. Also when Daniel is shouting 'get up' omg!!

surprised i never shouted about this thing a decade ago when it was ruling me. holds up a lot better than i'd expect, super dramatic but totally believable

Daniel singing "Get out" part in this song is one of the most tragically beautiful, desperate, painful and magical things I've ever heard. This song is just the definition of perfection.

Watched 'em do an awesome live version of this, which is like an uncut version (all the same parts but with more stuff added), nice ;O)
