I love Arise, Beneath, Morbid, Chaos, Roots and the most of the stuff with Derrick, but what I love the most is Schizophrenia - perfect album from start to finish and to me - their finest hour. Success-wise - of course not, but music and energy-wise. The influence this album and Morbid Visions, along with Bestial Devastation gave to the metal world is really important. And It always amazes me they were teenagers when they wrote and recorded their first two albums.

Звук на оригинальной пластинке глуховат,а на ремастере 1997 мощный, жирный.И кстати здесь таки Death\Thrash/.Для тренировок самое то,получаешь такой заряд,что мама негорюй.

Have you never heard of Death Thrash, let alone a band having more than one genre for an album?

Forms a perfect trifecta of Death/Thrash with BTR and Arise -- just the right mix of technique and aggression. I personally enjoy every phase of Sepultura (even a bit of what they did post-Max), but I know a lot of people consider them to have gone up their own ass with Roots or even Chaos A.D. Nonetheless, I never get tired of this stuff. It's just so perfectly suited for rocking the fuck out.

Like I said elsewhere, I have also really started to love the first two records to a massive degree the past few years after not really spinning them that much the whole time I've been a Sepultura fan, for some reason, so really it's more like an amazing run of killer material from Bestial Devastation up to Arise, followed by a transformation into something new that I personally enjoy a lot with Chaos A.D. but that many people don't. There is no question Sepultura was massively influential on Black and Death Metal both with the early albums though, and they've retained every bit of their power in the more than 30(!) years since their release. One of the greatest groups ever.

I love its sound. It sounds so genuinely metal with its bad production and live-feeling.

Beneath the Remains edges it out ever so slightly for me, but yeah, this is first-rate thrash.

This album is almost as good as Sodom's Persecution Mania. Which is my personal favourite thrash release. [2]

Still i remember my first touch with this masterpiece. One early, snowy morning on my way to school. Great memories. Still i am asking myself how can one album be that amazing like this one.

Sounds like the toms used on kreator's pleasure to kill. I fucking love that shit. I feel like I'm in a construction zone. If you have no idea what im talking about just listen to fills in "To the wall" @ 1:50. Hate the production on this album though. overall really solid album. My least favorite of the first 4 albums but its still REALLY REALLY good.

Very underrated album in Sepultura's discography, or at least I think it doesn't get its rightful recognition. I remember buying it a day after skipping class as usual, my friend and I were just about to go to rehearse with our band, and I went into the record store and bought this on the way ... It was 2006, feels so long ago ...

This album is almost as good as Sodom's Persecution Mania. Which is my personal favourite thrash release. Therefore this is among the greatest metal albums generally...

Absolutely their best! I don't know why... is it because it's my first Sepultura album or something else, but for me this it's their best.
