Barlow's songs are too soppy for me on this one (almost sound like snow patrol), but Jason's songs are amazing as always. Long live Loewenstein.

My two pennies worth on how good The Sebadoh is: This album doesn't stand as strongly as Seb's previous releases. That doesn't mean it's not a quality release; it's just not as quality as the back catalogue. It doesn't stand a chance against Bakesale or Harmacy...but how many albums really do?

ok, after listening to this again last night i changed my mind about it. perhaps it isn't that underrated after all... sure, it has some decent songs but the production is waaay too tacky and slick. i guess sebadoh works better in lo-fi.

I love this. It's a little less accessible than other stuff like Bakesale but oh so satisfying once you get into it. It has such a strong beginning in particular and it's a shame that this is not more popular. There are some absolute gems here like Drag Down and Break Free. Excellent!

Since I didn't like Harmacy I've been holding off this record. Got it last week and this is the worst Lou ever done. Man, I'm disappointed even though I had LOW expectations...ueh.
