"Sea In The Dark (from central Massachusetts) is a band I just found out about a couple of weeks ago. At first, I thought I was listening to a new release from some big deal label and I rejoiced in the fact that some actual good bands are maybe starting to get some luck. I found out later that they are much like my band… Not too well known, seemingly not yet as successful as most bands want to be and this band deserves.
Their self titled EP is exceptional, though much too short, it left me wanting for more. The overall tone is very gloomy, dark and dreamy. Every song rings black in my mind. My favourite kinds of music are the kinds that aid in my darker moods, that help me despair, and this EP fits in splendidly. That is not to say it's just another record to add to the collection, this brings something achingly sought after to the table. It is familiar in all of the ways you want darker, more ambient music to be, but it's unique enough to reside in my current record rotation long after most of the others need a break.
Highly recommended."
