are you on the wrong artist-page ? https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=savage+republic+-+truly+madly+deeply / the track, you spoke of, is from Savage Garden. https://www.last.fm/de/music/Savage+Garden - look here is yr toptrack!! However, there is a world of difference between Savage Republic + Savage Garden, much like comparing pears to radishes. But what I really smile about are the five ups to your post.

Great psychedelic punk...sorta like U2 without Bono, the same open widescreen sound...with added ethnicity haha

Depends on what you mean by original - the current lineup has members that were in the band the second time it reformed in 1983. Neither of the founding members are still in the band.

Going to see them at the Antwerp venue next month...lookin out for that one. These are fooking legends of Punk-Rock/Experimental Guitar Noise. So many bands are influenced by this guys.

I remember hearing the trek/trudge ep when I was in a record store (when I was 16 years old) and being totally blown way. I purchased the record at a different record store and I remember the clerk looking at me like "this kid has no idea what he is buying, he probably thinks it is hardcore punk" given that they were in the punk section and they have the word "savage" in their name. 1938 sounds good too.

I bought Live Trek 1985-1986 without having ever heard of the band on a whim while I was visiting Czech Republic and I must say it's absolutely fantastic; I'm definitely glad I did.

1938 (not, 1983 lol) is great. I love when bands make quality records, years after their peak.
