Fine album. Not really original indeed, but they found their formula and stick with it. I am content, even though they could try to minimize plagiarizing themselves so conspicuously. Some melodies and rhythms just harken a little too much back to previous songs. However, I love the use excessive use of that juicy synth in this album. Standard Sabaton galore.

its not that original , but thank god its under 60 minutes unlike most of this year's copy-paste power metal releases.

"The Last Stand" is reminding me quite a bit of "Coat of Arms," as much like that album, TLS is a solid, good album, but it feels like its missing the really catchy, soaring choruses and riffs that the other Sabaton albums have (just like CoA suffers from). I also find the bonus track covers are somewhat underwhelming; they've done much more interesting cover work on their previous albums. Over time, hopefully the album will grow on me -- CoA and "Heroes" both did, after all.

Basicly sounds just the same as every other album they have out out. Only song i like is Rorke's Drift. The Covers are fucking atrocious

Just wanted to come back to say this is a real grower! Yes it still sounds like their other albums but Sabaton do their own thing and they do it well so I shan't begrudge them that. In particular I really like Blood of Bannockburn now which is a song I HATED on the first listen. A great listen

This album sure is a grower. I can only truly appreciate this now, two years after its release.

Well... not my Sabaton album. From my point of view it is pretty underwhelming overall. There are only two songs so far that caught my attention (Shiroyama and The Last Stand). Some of the songs are just too familiar (I often here fragments from Carolus Rex somehow) to really get me.

Underwhelming on first listen. I'll see how I feel after I give it a few more spins, though.

Okay, yeah, it clicked with me after listening to it again. I still enjoy "Heroes" more, however.

A lot of the music feels like they took their favorite song elements and rewrote new songs with those. I like most of the songs though. Shiroyama and Hill 3234 are my favorites.
