Biography
Saathiya (Hindi: साथिया, Urdu: ساتھیا; translates as Lifepartner) is an Indian drama/romance movie which was released on December 20, 2002. Rani Mukerji, Vivek Oberoi and Tanuja star in this movie. It was Shaad Ali's debut as director and the soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman. It was the remake of a Tamil movie, Alaipayuthey (2000) directed by Mani Ratnam. The story is told in flashback.
It features cameos appearances by Shahrukh Khan and Tabu. Tanuja, who plays Rani Mukerji's mother is her real-life aunt.
