‘Bubble’ is the title track and first track of STAYC’s third mini album ‘TEENFRESH’ released on August 16th, 2023.
Produced by Black Eyed Pilseung, STAYC brings back their signature sound in their new EP with the lead single ‘Bubble’, a perfect mix of bubblegum pop and teen crush, along with multiple pop-rock influences throughout the song, featuring hard hitting guitar riffs within and throughout verses.
Behind the layers of perfectly constructed dreamy pop sounds, STAYC relays a powerful message. Through the lyrics, the track explores themes of self-confidence. The members sing about ignoring judgement or unnecessary criticism from other people, and encourage listeners to ignore the mean things people may say, and to make sure other people’s opinions don’t hinder their own progress to happiness and success.
Bubbles are used in these lyrics as a metaphor for the rude things people may say, as bubbles quickly pop and disappear just as quick as they are formed.
