DDFH (“Do Dope, Fuck Hope”) is satirical track. In an interview with The Breakfast Club Mike says:

“It’s satire. Satire is what Mark Twain did; you guys look him up. ‘Do Dope, Fuck Hope’ is what medicine companies are telling you every day…Don’t work out, don’t get healthy, don’t eat better. Just take a pill. Don’t de-stress, don’t do yoga. Just take a pill.“

Additionally, Mike believes smoking weed is better than just sitting around hoping for things to get better. In the fourth episode of the show 'Trigger Warning' with Killer Mike, Killer Mike explains that the origin of the phrase came from his childhood friend, Sleepy.

“Sleepy taught me it’s better to enjoy life on Earth rather than hold out for heaven. ‘Fuck hope, do dope’ were his exact words. A motto I’ve used throughout my life.“
