R.I.P. :( I'm so shocked, he was so young and talented. He'll be greatly missed.

I feel that Roy Hargrove tries very hard to be Miles Davis, and in some regards, he does succeed. Roy's lack of incentive to adventure into some weirder stuff though bothers me. I would like it if he were to spin his own modern version of like, On the Corner meets Live-Evil or something. Iunno, I think his strongest material so far has been with the RH Factor though.

One of my favorite contemporary Jazz musicians. His newest, "Earfood", is astonishingly great!

Roy is really good, a true "modern master" on the trumpet. He is really short too, not that means anything at all; he just plays bigger! I used to jam with him and a few other guy's in NYC years back at Smalls. Very cool dude. Jason

I met him for the first time 13 years ago in Vitoria Jazz Festival, his evolution has been amazing. Ever since I became a fan of this crazy-funky guy.
