For the longest time I thought the cover was an orca whale and now I've actually looked at it and not glanced and I'm sad it's not :(

When I heard the first track on this, I was taken aback. This is Roxy Music? It's almost easy listening! But by the second track, I was hooked, and this is an amazing album.

"Avalon" is one of my all-time favorites. "To Turn You On" is one of the sexiest songs ever recorded.

Glad to see I'm not the only one thinks this is their best. Great album to listen on Summer nights.

Damnit - I told myself I wouldn't love this album, but I did anyway. Still prefer earlier Roxy Music albums, though.

This album is almost 30 years old, and I'm still just as in love with it as the day I bought it (maybe more). Vinyl, cassette, and CD.

@ Wildebrand There are no other Roxy Music albums that sound like this. If you like this, then go for Bryan Ferry's 80s solo albums (Boys And Girls, Bête Noire, and some of the 90s stuff, too, also, his new album Olympia sounds a bit like this) Their early stuff is their best, though, in my opinion ;)

Hey guys, I'm quite new to Roxy Music, I've only listened to this and Bryan Ferry's 20 Great Hits album, so are there other Roxy Music albums that sound like this, because this is very different from all their '70s songs I've heard.

@KingRampant Eno left after "For your Pleasure" ..this album marked the beginning of the end of Roxy, which is really the only bad thing I could say about this album. one of my favorites

Shipwrecked on an island, and only one LP/CD/MP3 to listen to... This is my stupid Choice, Don`t know why.Didn`t like it that much when it first came out. Don`t Like the remixes (Somehow they took some of the soul out of the tracks) But over time this album grew on me like a second skin. There are no tracks I don`t like on this album. This music transports me somewhere else every time I listen to it . I love this CD ,well the original recording anyway, MORE than ANYTHING else that I have EVER listened to ! And that is quite a staement I used to own 900 Lp`s back in the day ,Nearly 400 Tapes and almost 1000 Cd`s ! ! ! I AM a music junkie and I am Addicted to this CD In particular...NEED THEROPY !!!

They brought back the clothes from the 80's and the frigidity, why can't they bring back glam rock? Anyone know if this was when Brian Eno was still a part of Roxy Music?
