"der geistige Vater" von Eric Clapton und vielen anderen guten "Bluesern" ..... ohne solche Songs und ohne Robert wäre die Musik um einiges ärmer !!!

RJ's original is a classic but check out Led Zeppelin's funky-blues version of this (if you haven't heard it already) and Jimmy Page's marvelous slide guitar work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtEAp-Rybl0&feature=related (sound quality ok but not great, original on 1970 BBC sessions). Lyrics like "She's sixteen but she's my rider" and "She's my brown skinned sugar plum" plus others mentioned below ensured this bad-ass, relatively unknown track got hardly any radio airplay.

What “so called” expert of the blues doesn’t toss crowns of gold at the feet of this demigod?!?!?!? Robert is one of the true inspirations for all lovers of the delta genera and a founder of all things heavy. There wouldn’t be metal without this guy.

love this one. it mentions my tiny town of rosedale, this and the addition of that phrase in the cream version of crossroads really put us on the map. r.j is more relevant to modern music than most of his contemporaries. there is a reason he is revered by the top musicians of the century..he deserves it.
