This is my favourite Rob Zombie album. It gets tiring having to defend it against people that can't accept a change in sound. This album is more diverse and much darker than any of his other albums.

The hate on this album is complete bull crap. He changed his sound up so it didn't become boring or stale and stil managed to sound dark like RZ should. Perfectly good album that is certainly misunderstood. People just need to get the dick out of their ass.

this album is actually pretty good. I don't get the hate it gets. sure it's lacking the electronic touches of the first two albums that came before it... but how could anyone really prefer Sinister Urge over this? the songwriting is better! I guess having some slight melodic moments and sounding alil more hard rock than heavy really riled up the fans... I love it. kind of has more of an Alice Cooper sound to it which I think would better suit Rob at his current age.

Let It All Bleed Out, Scorpion Sleeps, and American Witch are the other solid tracks.

Indeed boring at times. I need to be in a special mood to listen to it. American Witch is my personal favorite.

This album wasn't his BEST one, but it sure as hell was an excellent one. I'm glad that he did something more different and melodic with his music. His best tracks on this album, in my opinion of course, are "Scorpion Sleeps" "Ride" and "Death of It All", not excluding "Lords of Salem" which happens to be in my top favorite RZ songs. If you're a true fan of Rob Zombie, you wouldn't bitch about this album. End of story.

This album is so underrated. Because it's different many long-time Zombie fans automatically dismiss it because it doesn't sound the same. Pisses me off to no end to hear comments about not liking an album by an artist because it doesn't sound the same as before. Well if we lived in a world where everything was ideal for those people there would be very little musical creativity left and everything would be generic. Idiots...

easily his most generic work, yet that works in its favour, almost suggesting a mastering of the 'zombie' pop song if there was such a thing

Hym. I don't know, if this album is the worst album of Zombie, but it's a other vibe than Hellbilly Deluxe and The Sinister Urge. However, Educated Horses is fine. :]

Yeah, I agree with SagaciousKJB, fans like that make it hard for musical artists to experiment and evolve. Different doesn't always mean bad, or less. Educated Horses just has a different tone, but the mood and shit is still him. I personally love this album. He did very good.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about people not liking this album. It's not my personal favorite, but it is a terrific listen nonetheless. Shame so many people are ignoring how much of a gem this CD is just beacuse it's so different
