“Never Ending” includes writing credits for Dido and Paul Herman: the melody in the final two lines of the verse is reminiscent of Dido’s 2000 hit “Thank You,” which Dido and Herman wrote together.
While “Thank You” is a song of appreciation and gratitude, “Never Ending” deals with the conflicting feelings that come with falling in love again after a torturous break-up.
