"Calm Down (with Selena Gomez)" is the remix of the song "Calm Down" originally sang by Rema only. Following the success of “Calm Down,” which peaked at #57 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Chart, Rema enlists Gomez for the remix version, which peaked at #1 on the chart. Gomez teased it via a video in which she and Rema are seen backstage during his Rave & Roses album Tour while articulating her appreciation of being featured on the Remix. On August 17, 2022, Gomez posted a snapshot in her Instagram story of herself, and Rema in what looked to be as if they were in the studio, as she wrote the phrase “coming soon.”
In “Calm Down,” Rema talks about his attraction to a certain female despite his reluctance to approach her, while Selena Gomez provides the feminine perspective, as she also discusses the influence she has on her significant other.
