Ray Colcord is a film and TV composer living in Los Angeles, most famous for hit TV series such as The Facts of Life, Silver Spoons, My Two Dads, Dinosaurs, and Boy Meets World. He is a governor of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and a past President of the Society of Composers & Lyricists. He has received ASCAP, BMI, and Dramalogue awards. Prior to his film career, Ray Colcord worked as an A&R (Artists & Repertoire) representative for Columbia Records, and was music director of the Los Angeles improvisational comedy group "The Groundlings, " which turned out such celebrities as Paul Reubens, Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz and Cassandra Peterson (Elvira).

Music

Ray also played keyboards on the Lou Reed live album Rick n Roll Animal (1974) along with Pentti Glan (drums) and Prakash John (bass) of the contemporary Alice Cooper band, and Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter on guitars. The album was recorded live on December 21, 1973, at Howard Stein's Academy of Music in New York.
